This tool is designed to allow users to quickly go to specific functions and to automatically initiate updates and retrievals in FMS II systems. There are two functions in this tool, Favorites and Shortcuts.
Favorites are a simplified version of Macros. A favorite is essentially a macro that issues a command to invoke a specified transaction, populate the fields on the screen, and optionally, “enter” the data.
Private favorites are favorites that are created only for you. These favorites are kept under a “My Favorites” folder. You can always create and delete favorites under the “My Favorites” folder.
Public favorites are those available to multiple users.
You must have security access to create and delete public favorites.
A shortcut is a recorded set of events that may perform a complete function, such as performing an on-line inquiry or executing a report.
Private shortcuts are shortcuts that you create only for you. These shortcuts will be kept under the “My Shortcuts” folder. You can always create and delete shortcuts under the “My Shortcuts” folder.
Public shortcuts are those available to multiple users.
You must have security access to create and delete public shortcuts.
